Industrial Telescopic Handler

The aim of the course is to:

Provide the candidate with the basic knowledge and practical skills involved in operating machine safely.

The objectives of the course are to enable delegates to:

  • Be able to operate the machines safely and correctly in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and accepted good practice
  • Carry out pre-start inspections
  • Be able to load and unload from vehicles ad static racking
  • Understand the causes of instability of the vehicle and loads
  • Have an understanding of responsibilities under Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 & other current relevant legislation

  • Pre-start inspections
  • Controls and instruments
  • Components and main types of lift trucks
  • Re-fuelling systems
  • Coolant, fuel and lubrication
  • Emergency controls
  • Maneuvering over uneven ground
  • Operators’ safety code
  • Handling loaded / unloaded pallets and difficult shaped loads
  • Loading and unloading flatbed lorries at various heights

Course Duration – Depending on Accreditation & Experience

Certification – CPCS, NPORS, STS Group Certification
